The China Study

Whoa. It looks like you can read this whole book online - FOR FREE!
Awesome.

The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-Term Health

This makes me pretty happy that I've given up cheese this month ... and that I'm using soymilk for my cereal. :)

Edit: You can't read the whole book, but you can get a good start. I think I'm gonna order it.

If you would like, I can lend it to you. It is by far one of THE MOST amazing books I have ever read. A bit scientific but such a staggering argument for a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle!

The best part about it is that it cites studies and experts from Cornell, Oxford, etc! It's hard to argue with such reputable institutions backing the claims in this book.

Also, it's a must-have whenever some person tried to convince you humans are SUPPOSED to eat meat, or it's healthier, or etc. I pull out the "Oh really? Because repeated studies done by Oxford...yes THE Oxford...state otherwise. Would you like to see proof?" ::whip out book::

:P

Thanks for the offer, but I already ordered it with a lovely gift certificate to Amazon that I had. :) Plus, I have a feeling this is one I won't mind having on my bookshelf for a while.

Yeah, I already think that animal protein is not superior to vegetable protein (and even unhealthy) ... so I am really excited to read this book. :) More food for thought! heh.

I have a little "cheese problem" in that I like it way too much. I'm hoping this book will give me extra motivation to make cheese the occasional indulgence rather than a daily part of my diet!

I am living cheese-free until the end of April and it makes me realize just how much I ate it! yikes.

Glad you enjoyed the book too! Yay!
